Mia Hockel is an associate at Price Pelletier, LLP, specializing in civil litigation defense within the firm’s general liability and transportation team. Ms. Hockel was born and raised in Minnesota. In 2020, Ms. Hockel Graduated _magna cum laude _from South Dakota State University and then went on to graduate from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2023 where she was one of the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law’s youngest graduates at 22 years old. During her time in Law School, Ms. Hockel was the Vice President for the Women in Law Board and Vice President of the University of South Dakota School of Law’s Trial Team, where she competed around the United States and was awarded best advocate awards within her law school.

While working for a litigation firm in South Dakota, Ms. Hockel gained legal experience in criminal defense, business, insurance claims, personal injury, wills and estate planning, and landlord tenant law. Before joining Price Pelletier, Ms. Hockel worked as an in-house counsel for a title insurance company on their underwriting product development team. Since working at Price Pelletier, Ms. Hockel has been involved in settlements, mediations, litigation, and defense work.
